About Anchorage Civic Club


Anchorage Civic Club is a non-profit organization founded in 1914 by I.W. Bernheim (of Bernheim Forest fame) dedicated to promoting civic pride, community activities, and citizen connection in Anchorage, Kentucky.


Anchorage Civic Club Events

Anchorage Civic Club organizes and hosts social activities for the citizens of Anchorage, KY. Annual events are:


  • Chili Cook-Off
  • Town Hall Meeting
  • Fourth of July Fireworks, Firecracker Run, Parade & Picnic
  • Anchorpalooza
  • Anchorfest
  • Turkey Trot


We invite you to participate in all Civic Club events to maintain the warm and welcoming feeling of Anchorage.






















Join Anchorage Civic Club

Citizens of Anchorage are invited to support the activities of Civic Club by paying dues every two years.  Your two-year, $35 membership to the Anchorage Civic Club helps conduct both social and civic duties. Every two years, an Anchorage Directory is developed by the Anchorage Civic Club. It is financed by your club dues and by the generous advertisers that support the Anchorage Directory.
